1927 Argentine; Made in 1947 and Possibly Unfired

This is the 1927 Argentine pistol I purchased at a gun show last Sunday. There are absolutely NO marks on the mag follower, breech face, feed ramp or chamber throat to indicate that a cartridge has ever been fired through it since it left the factory in 1947. As would be expected, the bore is pristine and inside there lots of preservative grease. The trigger and grip safety have both turned plum color while the rest of the pistol has 99+% of the original polished blue finish. It cost me $450 OTD. It will remain unfired as long as I own it. I have another 1927 and a SA Military model that I shoot often so there's no need to shoot one this nice.

Oh, wow am I envious. I've seen Sistema M1927s with maybe 10% to 20% finish selling for more than $450. And you got the matching magazine, and correct grips. That's a great find.

    Congratulations.

Looks like a fine specimen to me. Except maybe for the up grip screw hole beneath the plunger tube.

That's caused by the plastic grip (stock) shrinking.

And these look like original bakelite grips, too. Most Sistemas arrived in the US with these grips missing or destroyed, some say because the guns made the journey on a boat, stored in 55-gallon tanks full of crude oil... which might be true for many Sistemas, but not this one!
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.

Thanks everyone. I've allowed some very nice 1927's to escape over the years but this one will not.
