Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.

For the OP - why that particular HD rear sight? Isn't that designed to fill the notch of an adjustable sight? With a 1991 as a base gun wouldn't it have been easier to use a different sight?
