After 3 years of looking I finally had the opportunity to shoot a 9mm Guardian last week, it was even better than I had anticipated. I have been looking for an aluminum framed 9mm 1911 for EDC and it is now a toss up between the Guardian or the new 4" Springfeild EMP, though the Guardian's bobtail gives it an edge IMHO.

    Ron,
I jumped to 45acp. after witnessing threats recover too quickly from .38 & 9mm hits.

I carry a Sig C3 in .45, but was wondering if there is a difference in recoil. Certainly isn't much of one on mag capacity.

I LOVE al lof my DWs especially the guardian. It took a while to get used to the smaller frame as I usually shoot FS frames. great gun .almost no felt recoil in 9mm , very accurate ,nice light 1911 trigger

I am amazed at how DW has improved in quality of over the years. seems like they are closer in quality to those famous custom/semi customs that cost so much more(JMHO)

my new Bruin is due in soon--cannot wait for it!!!

A few weeks ago I purchased my second Dan Wesson pistol. After the first few hundred rounds I'm as pleased with the RZ-45 as I was with the Guardian. These pistols are excellent.

I've preferred .45 for many years but started shooting 9mm more during the last year. My next pistol will be a 9mm DW.
