    Robar 1911s

Most folks know that Robar offers some great customizing options in terms of finishes, and building on customer guns. What many may not know is they also offer complete 1911s.

The guns are offered in three versions: full size with, and without rail, and a Commander version.

Most folks also know that founder Robbie Barkman is part of the history of Gunsite, working under and alongside Col. Cooper. At SHOT they unveiled the Jeff Cooper M1911. With some portion of the proceeds going to the Jeff Cooper Foundation.

"The 1911 was the design, given by God to us through John M. Browning, that represents the epitome of what a killing tool needs to be. It was true in 1911 and it's true now." - Col. Robert Coates commanding, U.S. Marine Corp Special Operations Command Detachment 1 (DET 1)

That's a great looking piece in the photo. I've actually been tossing around trying to figure out what 1911 I want to do next. Do I want another Wilson Combat, do I want a Baer, a Robar, a Cylinder & Slide. Such a tough call with so many great 1911s out there, but after seeing the Robar above, I'm thinking a little more seriously about one.
