RRA is back in the game!!!

Wow! Has it been that long ago? I remember reading a bunch of posts while doing research for my first 1911. Somehow I remembered your name and RRA.

Hopefully customer service has improved. I had one of their ARs and I liked it quite a bit.

As far as everyone making mistake once in a while, I had one of those too with another manufacturer. I won't bother trashing and rehashing either ( I like that quote, may I borrow it?). I learned a lot from the experience … so I got that goin for me….

I look forward to early reviews on this gun. Maybe RRA will "donate" one for the e-sine .

I'm going to watch the reviews people post about their new RRA guns. Perhaps one day I'll adopt another one. I sort of doubt they'd want me to do that but we'll see. They do make a very good looking 1911.

Personally, I think they should stick to AR-15s and stay out of the 1911 game.

My RRA M4 variant is pretty nice for the money. I concur. A jack of all trades is a master of none. Unless you charge $5k for a product and are dedicated to them in limited quantity.

Since I'm a confirmed 1911 addict I'm really trying to keep an open mind to the possibilities of a new RRA 1911. It's out of the question right now with all the expenses I will have for this year but maybe in a year or so.

I sure hope they do a better blueing job with the new pistols than they did with the old ones. The pistol shown in post #6 above looks awful. That strange looking blue color is an indication that the part hasn't remain in the salts bath as long as it should, or that the temperature of the bath was way off.

I got my Limited Match in 2004, not to trash it and rehash it again but it was a problem child and I got absolutely no help from them. I let a pistolsmith that had done work for me fix it and now it runs pretty good. It's still a cool gun. I guess everyone makes a mistake now and again right?

made was in providing absolutely no help to you with regard to the issue(s) experienced with their 1911. Being relatively new to this forum, I am not privy to what those

problems were. I don't care what one buys. If something is not right, a reputable company should be more than willing to bend over backwards in order to see that

any defects in their product are corrected. And, all at no additional charge to the consumer! Yes, this occurred back in 2004. Hopefully, their customer service has greatly

improved since then. Today, everyone and his uncle is producing 1911's. This means that there's a broad marketplace to chose from. There's so much competition out there

from both foreign and domestic producers. No business can afford to fail in providing satisfactory follow-up customer service after the sale. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

to you on your next 1911 purchase, with whatever brand it is that you decide to get.

Thank you. The next 1911 purchase turned out to be a Wilson Classic and a Les Baer Commanche, both in 45. The Wilson is not yet delivered and the LB got a workout this week at the range.

Thanks John, I was wondering if you would be the first to make that point. I don't have any pics of the LB yet and the Wilson is due within the next month or so. I'll see what I can do but it might be awhile, I'm goofing off on a small vacation right now. (yes, trips to the range were included)

I just saw this...I must have got one of the last. I got mine in 2008 right before they quit making them. I got the NM Hardball model, I like it a lot. Very accurate, 100% reliable. My only nit is the grip safety and thumb safety turned purple.
