Picked this guy up back in July. It's my first 1911 and I've been pretty impressed thus far.

Nice! I'm partial to commanders. I have the full size R1 Carry.
Looks Good how do the insides look ? any tool marks? Etc
I saw these guys but down here but the ones I saw were about $1K from a couple LGS. Since they have Series 80 firing pin safeties in them it is hard for me to see their value over a Colt.

They offer just the R1 Commander which is basically a G.I bare bones Remington Commander that can be found around 500.00 give or take. And I think right now Remington offers a 75.00 rebate. I may end up getting one of t hose and just modifying it slightly.
The pistol in the opening post is hardly bare bones GI. It's dehorned, fancy wood grips, beavertail with palm swell, slanted cocking serrations, combat sights, and who knows what else.
What I would be interested in seeing is a couple of good, detail photos of just the frame, with the slide removed, showing the machining of the frame bridge area.
