    Springfield Armory 1911-A2 S.A.S.S. .308 conversion kit

308 sass2.jpg308 sass.jpgI recently made an impulse buy of a Springfield Armory 1911-A2 S.A.S.S. 308 conversion kit (14 7/8" barrel). I am in search of an inexpensive full size 1911 frame and trigger assembly. I dont want to use my Colt Gov't in case it were to get damaged. Has anyone had experience with this kit. I was wondering if a Hipoint 1911 frame would fit a full size 1911 slide.

    Thanks for any help

    Hipoint? I didn't know they offered 1911s.

Try Sarco. They usually have Armscor receivers for about $100, which is about the lowest price you'll find anywhere for a new 1911 receiver.

Thanks Hawkmoon. the Hipoint comment was poorly worded on my part. Was wondering myself if they had anything. I'll give Sarco a look.
