    PT1911 on sale

Buds has them in blued for ~$450 (credit card price), delivered to your FFL holder.

About six months ago I was seriously considering a stainless steel Taurus 1911. I had read quite a few bad reviews but felt sure I could overcome any issues it might have. And it seems not all of them had problems in the first place, so there was always the hope that it would be okay as-is. Then I ran across a RIA FS 1911 GI for $329.00 from Buds. Bought it instead and have been quite pleased. But I often wonder how "my" PT 1911 would have turned out...

That is a good price. I have had my PT1911 for a while now and have had zero problems with it. It is accurate and reliable. The only thing I did to it was added a fiber optic front sight and a GI guide-rod and cap and that only to make it easier to field strip. Forged frame and slide and a lot of extras you would have to pay extra for.

I just came to post that Bud's has PT1911s for REALLY cheap. Actually, it seemed to me that ALL Taurus products were really cheap. Was there a fluctuation in the exchange rate between the dollar and the real?
