Nice! Thanks for sharing. The factory grip panels look nice, I replaced the same kind out of my MAC 1911 Bobcut. I have been contemplating on getting an Amigo but am afraid that the empty shells will keep on hitting me in the forehead. I had previous experience with my Colt Defender.

Got out and shot it yesterday quite a bit undersprung as ive read had several FTRB in 21 rounds slide would run forward except about last 1/4th inch give a tiny push and went rest of way .. so time for a higher power recoil spring .. gun is very accurate

Loosening up your extractor tension a little, might help too. Was this new or used?

Ok so a update of sorts while its been awhile i got around to working on it decided to add a ambi Kimber brand not my first go round with them nor the first this week .. dropped right in well that is never good. First Squeeze of trigger with safety on saw hammer move 2nd pull hammer dropped well strike one ..

SO it has a serrated MSH decided to go for a Checkered got it in place and pin holes are way off Strike 2

then last try replace recoil spring with a heavier one well no go again as the colt wolff made spring has tighter coil on one end wont go over guide rod ..

SO Strike 3 so much for the colt parts will fit it nice gun and really want to like it but annoyed

No doubt worst I've ever run into I like it because it's a series 70 style no of the series 80 junk but got to have a ambi at least for carry some fitting required is understandable but when nothings close.. so the question is are parts that far out of spec or is it the gun?

Recoil spring for sure needs replacement I'll get a diff guide rod I guess and maybe girl fired will get the gun when she gets her permit she's right handed .. guess I'll look at the para officers or warthog not sure why I want a short barrel been Carrying a 5" and 4 1/4 for 10 years

Check the Wolff part number. You may have gotten a spring intended for a Colt Officers ACP, which has a small diameter guide rod because the OEM setup was a dual spring-within-a-spring.
