MAC 1911 Bobcut front sight

Hello - can someone please tell me the height of the front sight of the MetroArms Bobcut commander? I want to replace the front sight.

Some time back I contacted both Eagle Imports and MetroArms with questions about sight specs for the AC Commander. It looks like the MAC uses the same sights, but you would do best by Contacting Eagle Imports customer service.

from Eagle Imports:

ACII, AC Commander, AC Amigo, AC Trophy (AC45G2,ACC45,ACA45,ACT45)
Front Sight(Dovetail) - 0.330" x 65 Deg.
Rear Sight(Dovetail) - 0.495" x 65 Deg.


AC GOV'T (AC45G)
Front Sight - Fixed
Rear Sight(Dovetail)- 0.3465" x 65 Deg.

And this from MetroArms:
The height of the AC II front sight from the bottom of the base to the top surface is 0.223” to 0.233” (0.228 +/- 0.005”).

Thanks Quicksdraw. I might just replace the fiber optic rod in the Bobcut's front sight or replace with a Novak's fiber optics front sight using the measurement you provided from MetroArms. Thanks again.
