I recently purchased a M1991A1 Colt Commander and would like to replace the rear sight. I want a no machine replacement. Does anyone know the correct dimensions or the "style" to buy.
Thanks in advance for your help...

I don't understand. What sight do you want? What's wrong with the existing sight?

This is what I have now. Just can't pick it up well enough
in a low light situation. Was looking for a Novak style low
profile sight like some of the newer imported 1911s come with.

Then you really only have one option.

The dovetail carry sight on the left on this page will fit the standard GI dovetail which is what you currently have. You may have to do some minor fitting to the sight itself (dovetail dimensions can vary slightly). The newer 1911s all have a "Novak style" sight cut in them that requires milling of the slide for installation. (That would be the sight on the right in the page I linked). Hope that helps.

Well there is also this:

It has the same size (including height) as the existing sight, but the notch is both wider and deeper.
