Tuition: $1150 (50% deposit required to hold a slot. Balance due 90 days prior to course start. Deposit / payment is NOT refundable unless that slot is filled by someone else within 90 days of course.

Course description: This class takes things to the next level beyond the operator’s class in terms of troubleshooting, identifying, and fixing problems that may develop with your 1911. Fit and function and replacement/tuning of various parts are discussed such as safeties, triggers, hammers and sears, mag catches, check and correct barrel fit, complete reliability work, extractors, ejectors, sights, etc. An individual will be able to completely maintain and do limited custom work on a 1911 pistol after this class. In addition zeroing and test fire procedures are discussed. Max class size is 12 – in addition a specific tool and part list (student supplied) is part of this course

Instructor bio: Larry Vickers is a decorated US Army Special Forces veteran as well as a national pistol champion. Larry Vickers has nearly two decades of special operations experience (1 SFOD-Delta). Much of which was spent as his unit’s Primary Firearms Instructor. In addition to his special operations accomplishments, his competitive shooting has yielded a 10th and 9th place finish in the 1993 and 1994 USPSA Limited Nationals as well as a 1st place finish in CDP class at the 2001 IDPA Mid-Winter Nationals at Smith & Wesson. Larry Vickers is a founding member of IDPA. In addition to being a highly experienced operator and national pistol champion, Larry Vickers is also one of the premier and most sought after 1911 pistolsmiths in the world. His work has been featured in several firearms publications and on the cover of American Handgunner. In addition to all this, Mr. Vickers has served as a consultant and technical expert to the firearms industry. Mr. Vickers is featured on two firearms, tactics, and accessories focused T.V. shows called Tactical Impact and Tactical Arms.
