I have a 18 month old PT 1911 stainless that I have shot very little. The 400 rds or so that have been put through this gun have functioned just fine. Even my lead Semi wad cutter reloads cycle perfectly.
All these horror stories re: Taurus lack of interest in their customers after the sale make me think I should send this gun down the line at the next gun show before something breaks and I'm stuck.
I have an older Norinco that also shoots good and runs fine and the only part I have had to replace has been the slide stop....because it wouldn't lock the slide open after the last round. A standard replacement part from Brownells fit that Chinese gun and the slide locks open every time now. No fitting, grinding or filing needed.
It sounds like a PT 1911 is a little difficult to keep running. Do I need to sell?????
