Factory Loads & Single or Double Action

I am new here from Fl. don,t want to step on anyones post, but I have read the same thing about CC Single action or Double Action pistols. That if pull comes to shove a prosecutor can make a much better case against a Double Action shooter then a Single Action shooter in a self defence case. Any Laywers here?

I think no one has given thought to the fact that , just about any projectile fired from a .45 is going to be deadly, weather it is jacketed, a HP or
a naked lead wad cutter or round nose. It's never fired to wound , it's fired to end the threat.
I try to load the most efficient round to do the job at hand.

I don't know Spooler41, I'd bet everyone here has given thought to the fact that "just about any projectile fired from a .45 is going to be deadly." What we still don't know is if Iowa has some restriction against lead bullets for SD. Wow, this thread is old.

Ok so we have 3 documented cases in the last 30 years or so where reloads were an issue out of how many shootings?

Ask your local Police chief or high ranking officer eg Lt./Capt. what type of ammo they use or equivalent that you can buy at the store. Reason being, if you should find yourself as a defendant and some prosecutor says you used that type of ammo because you intended to kill someone. You and your attorney can counter by showing: these are the same as the Police use, are you calling them murderers?
