I expect to shoot the CD next week - had a few others to the range Friday, but not the Daly.

I will post results when I can.

Thanks - glad to see others in this forum.

I bought my FS1911 used five years ago for $400 at a gun show. It had no mag and was filthy but the finish was a beautiful blue. I disassembled and cleaned it and have fired 600 plus rounds without a hicup. I shoots as well or better than my 2 Kimbers, Norinco, or Colt 1911's. It looks better than anything Armscor put out since. When I have seen them at shows (rarely) they go for $600 to $700 and are not in that great a shape.

I received mine as an anniversary gift from my wife 2 years ago. (gotta love a woman who will buy you a 1911 as a gift!) It cost 400 bucks from a dealer we trust here in Sarasota (Young Guns and Safety). It shoots at least as nice as the Kimber I rented at the range. It's smooth and accurate and my 13 YO son loves to shoot it as well. Sadly, he's more accurate than I am.... Guess I need more range time.

Thanks for keeping the forum alive!

Just checking, it says KBI Phillippines on the bottom of mine. So it is armscorp?

Definitely Yes! I think yours would be one of the last ones before Daly went under. Their deal with Bul of Israel fell apart after leaving Armscor.

I remember buying it and not too long after that finding out there was a major shakeup in the company. Thanks.

KBI was Krassnar Brothers Imports, the parent importer and owner of the Charles Daly name at that time.

They were located here in PA, and had imported a long line of FEG pistols using the KBI import stamp...mostly variants of Walther pistols that had been Hungarian police and military pistols. Very good quality and with the little odd features that distinguished them from the originals. They also imported FEG versions of the High Power pistol and several others.

Please keep in mind, that if this forum (the Charles Daly one) is to be used for any pistol which has the Charles Daly name on the slide, either made by Armscor or not.

Do not use the Armscor/Rock Island forum for questions about the Charles Daly pistols, even if your pistol is made by Armscor.
