I was asked to get some shots yesterday

A friend of my wife and her daughter are visiting Greece, so her daughter asked me if I could shoot some pictures of her. It's the first time a ... 23 years old girl asks me to take her pictures, so I of course obliged.

Here are some of the pictures.

Wow! John the fashion photographer. Pretty nice work, Boss. Of course, the young lady is attractive enough that the camera doesn't need a whole lot of help. (She does have an indefinably Ukrainian air about her ... not that that's a bad thing.)

But ... what's with the finger on the trigger?

She is Ukrainian all right, her parents are both Ukrainian living in Germany.

As for the trigger on the finger, it was a very hot day yesterday, so I wanted to be done with the shooting as soon as possible, to go back in the house, so I didn't pay too much attention to the gun shots. Alex caught it and told her to take her finger off, but (a) he told her in Greek, so she didn't get it and (b) both his and her English were not that good to try and explain her that this is a no-no.

The bad thing was that our garden is not at its best, the grass is completely gone (and we do not plan to replant it) and there are a lot of dry leaves on the ground. Plus the kids have turned the yard to a ... garbage area (it's literally filled with broken bikes, destroyed toys, downed fences etc), so finding a nice area for the pictures was not easy. The balkony was the only decent place to shoot her, but the iron fence around it show up in some of the pictures and I hate it.

    Fence? There's a fence?

I promise, when I find some time, I'll remove those bars from some of her photos and post them again.

    Bars?

Easy John, they usually don't let that much skin get past the filters here in the home. Gotta go, my very soft boiled egg is ready...

Her name isn't Helen, is it? Uh, sorry, Ukraine, not Troy. Never mind.

    Warmest regards,

Hey Walt, Helen was Greek, not Troy. A whole war took place, when she was taken from Greece (or when she decided that a young Trojan was preferable to an old Greek).

    No, her name is Luba.
