Moosehead
great pistol.
get the new gun keep the current camera!!!!
Looks sharp!
I agree. The camera gets the point across just fine. Get the pistol. :)
Did the gift bag come with the range? ;)
I shot it today and could neither feel nor see any difference between the 2-piece and the current system. I must be honest I kinda miss the way it looked. Oh, well, I like to have the ability to field strip on the spot. About two weeks ago I went on a varmint hunt and private shoot. We shot alot of ammo, took alot of varmints, back at the clubhouse everyone was cleaning and talking I couldn't find my allen wrench. I didn't forget to bring it, I lost it. No one had a substitute and I sat there with a gun that had just shot over 500 rounds, dirty to say the least (PMC 230gr. FMJ), and I had no way to break it down. I stipped what I could and hosed it off with rem-oil and went on to shoot over 400 rounds the next day. While no malfunctions occured I didn't like what happened. I now have both systems for this gun but I plan to only use the current system. BTW the EGW parts are perfection in every way and first class guys to deal with. Recommend them highly.
Moosehead,
What egw parts did you use? I went to Brownells and the egw guide rods looked different from yours. Where did you get yours?
I'm betting the gun gets the nod over a new camera.
I'm thinking of doing that to my "Loaded." Did you just replace the plug and keep the current spring guide without the extension or did you replace the plug AND guide? Thanks. Looks nice. Also, - I'd opt for the gun over the camera. Your camera is fine.

Never said the gun wasn't set up right. It runs fine and loc tite works really well. All saying is that I would have liked to be able to clean my pistol when it needs to be clean and not have to continue to shoot knowing that the pistol may not be 100%.Quote:

Perfect fit. Beautiful work. EGW quailty.
good looking pics buy the gun instead
thanks it is alot of fun.
I got word from home that my parts arrived to replace my two piece guide rod on my Loaded. I also got the EGW firing pin stop. So I'll have a few mods to make when I get home.
Looking forward to it.
I've run 600 rounds through mine without cleaning it. The only thing that seemed worse for wear was where the "speed bump" hammered my hand.
Going the EGW way was the only way, it is a highly customized pistol, I liked the smooth plug but wanted it in bead blasted Stainless Steel. EGW had to take one of thier thick ones and trim to fit so I could get it in SS. It is really nice. Total cost $38.00. Mine should have been more expensive than a normal one. They did some work on mine.
