Dan Wesson 10mm Bruin

I picked up a 10mm Bruin yesterday. Before firing it the first time I wanted to disassemble, inspect and lubricate properly. I was impressed with the quality of workmanship in this pistol. The Bruin angled cut recoil spring plug and barrel bushing required an extreme effort to remove and reassemble. As my first 10mm and longslide pistol I'm looking forward to getting to the range today.

I saw it at SHOT this year or the year before, was impressed.

This pistol was flawless on the first trip to the range. I used Sig Sauer 180 gr FMJ for the first few boxes of ammunition. The next trip I plan to fire HP to confirm they feed well.

I have had mine for a couple months now. Very nice pistol. The angled recoil spring plug does take a little more time to work with during a field strip. Noticed the entire serial number is also on the bottom of the slide. I have been thinking about a 6 inch 1911 in10mm for some time. Got to shoot some friends. One fellow had a Bruin, another a Baer and a third a Para Hunter and although Para is gone that pistol still exists in a Remington version. Anyway, I liked the Bruin the best.
