  • 1911 Sear modification to prevent interference with the disconnector

    This is from a 40+ year old article in the American Rifleman detailing what was done at Springfield Armory (the Army one) to build guns for the National Matches:



    Note how this method leaves the outer portions of the legs intact to avoid (I think) what Tuner mentioned.

    I, too, just got their SDS Carry (Commander) in stainless. I've only put 50 rounds through it, but it functioned very well. Sights were accurate.
