A warm hello from SOCAL! :)

Hey all! My name is Justin and I'm a new guy around here. I have recently decided that I want to buy my first pistol. I am 23 years old and it is about time huh?!?!? LOL

Anyways, I've been doing a lot of research, and have had a couple trips to the range to shoot the rental guns. I got to looking at the RIA 1911GI and quickly fell in love with the gun. After going to the range, and shooting their rental RIA GI, i decided I needed the RIA 2011 tactical because the beaver tail on the GI was biting my hand a bit. (a little small for my hand) So anyways, I am just saving my pennies now and waiting till I can go get it!

As soon as I get my 1911 I'll post up pictures! Look forward to seeing what I can learn from you all.

Glad to have you on board the forum Justin! I'm also impressed that you took it upon yourself to try out some of the 1911s and reading all that you can, which has provided you with the knowledge to make an informed discission based on your experience with the weapons. Looking forward to the photos and maybe a range report.

Be safe

thank you very much! I want to make sure that it is a purchase I'll be happy with. I now know that, when I purchase my weapon, it will last me my life time, and hopefully I will pass it on to my son one day.

I will definitely post up photos and a range report when I get it!
