Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.

  • If your pistol malfunctions and you want to ask for help on how to troubleshoot it, post your question in the "Gunsmithing and Refinishing" forum, not in this one.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market parts, these questions should go in the "Parts - Grips" forum, not in the manufacturers forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market magazines, these questions should go in the "Magazines" forum, not in these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about holsters, those questions should go in the "Holsters" forum, not in these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about conversion kits, those questions should go in the "Conversion Kits" forum, not these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about which ammo to use with your pistol, those questions should be posted in the "Ammo" forum, not these forums.

Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued.

Talon 2 ordered, can't wait!

I ordered out a talon 2, hard-chrome, bobtail last week, can't wait to have it in my hands. I've never seen a Nighthawk Custom in person and decided to order it instead of an ed brown Kobra Carry, (tough decision). I guess I'm hoping i made the right choice.

Well, if you haven't, that makes two of us, because I just emailed Craig to see when my Talon will be build. Hopefully within the month.

Rgds and let us know how it looks and shoots when you get it.

What's the purpose of the bob tail besides looking cool?

Concealment aid?

With that angle cut in the grip area there is less jabbing of the grip into your side when you are carrying concealed. Especially when you are sitting down. Of course it depends on how you are carrying, type of holster, your body shape, etc.

And then there is just the 'looking cool' factor!

From what I've heard the grip isn't supposed to print as much...and it looks cool

I emailed back and forth with Craig today about my talon 2. Finally decided on Hard Chrome frame and slide, single safety, novak adjustable night sights, alumagrips, bull barrel, and no front cocking serrations. I absolutely cannot wait to have it. Ive never experienced customer service like Nighthawk Custom has given me, Craig is awesome and should get a raise!
