Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.
Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued. IMPORTANT: In Photo-threads, each post should contain at least one picture of your own. Quoting a previous post, does not make your post compliant with that requirement. Gold Cup
I just passed 1500 rounds and it is the best 1911 I have ever owned. For a long time my STI was the high mark for accuracy, but the Gold Cup is by far the better pistol. Consistently shoots 1.5 inches at 25 yeards. Im in the process of selling the STI to make room for a Volkman. I talked with Luke Volkman and it will be four months for delivery. Still, the Gold Cup is the high water mark.

I consider mine to be the some of the best buys I have made in the 1911 world and love them.

I still have my GCNM I bought new in 1977. It is a "tack driver" or "50 yard gun". Now with about 3,500 rounds through it, the roll pin in the sight did fail at 2,500 rounds. Colt sent me two new roll pins for free. It will stay this way till I die as I continue to shoot and enjoy it.
