Bo-Mars on Delta Gold Cup

I just picked up a like-new Delta Gold Cup and would like to get rid of these cheesy sights.

Is it possible to mount a set of Bo-Mars onto the DGC? These Eliasion sights need to go. I know Millett makes a replacement, but I would much rather use the Bo-Mar BCMS.

I know it will require machining, that's not a problem for me. I just want to know if it can be done and done well.

Thanks!

A skilled gunsmith can do wonders. I am sure the Bomar can be fitted.

If I am not mistaken, Bomar made a replacement sight for the Elliason, but it has been several years, You might find one of these.

The other option is to remove the Elliason and weld up the slide. You would then reconture the silde and cut for the Bomar sight. You would also have to rework the slide top to match the raised rib and serrations. This project would require a refinish. I am sure that this can be done but will be expensive.

I would make sure that a competent Gunsmith were doing this job. I would be willing to bet that Novak's can do this. You can contact them @

I hope that this has been helpful.

Wilson makes a sight specifically for the Gold Cup. It does require some machining for a proprietary mounting system, but it doesn't require adding material to the slide, which is necessary with the Bo-Mar.
As I recall, the Delta Gold Cup was fitted with the Accro, not Elliason, rear sight. You'd face the same problems replacing either one.
