Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.

  • If your pistol malfunctions and you want to ask for help on how to troubleshoot it, post your question in the "Gunsmithing and Refinishing" forum, not in this one.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market parts, these questions should go in the "Parts - Grips" forum, not in the manufacturers forums.

Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued.

Value of this TRP?

Looking at possibly adopting a very lightly used TRP. Armory Kote, no rail, with a few interesting mod's. Genuine Novak nightsights, really cool looking carbon fiber checkered double diamond grips, Wilson Combat barrel bushing and Bar-Stow barrel. Sorry, no pics right now, but this thing literally doesn't have a mark on it. Super tight in all the right places.

I know it's tough to go on somebody else's description, but what do you all think? BTW, has original case and blank warrantee card, as well as all case candy.

I saw a similar TRP at a gun show recently that had $960 on the tag.

Obviously it has had some custom work done (the bushing and barrel). Before I put out my money, I would want to know who did the work, and have proof the gun was reliable. If the barrel and bushing were not fit right, then the gun would cost you more time and money than just buying a new one.

Nevermind folks. These guys must be smoking something at this gunstore. I left this Colt customshop 38 Super with them yesterday to look over and let me know what kind of trade offer they would make. The Super Elite is a limited run Gold Cup from the eighties, and mine has original box and all packaging/manual/cards/tags etc. I'll let these two pics speak for the condition.

Went in this afternoon, and their offer was my Colt plus $200 for the TRP. I politely declined.

Thanks for the compliment. This particular gunstore deals primarily in used firearms, some of which pretty nice. I would have required some boot in addition to the TRP, nice though it was. I also tried to deal with them on a nice Wilson Protector they had. Some wear, but very nice as well. They wanted eleven hundred difference between it and my Super Elite.

Keep the Colt bro. If you're gonna trade that gun, they should be giving you the TRP plus $200 and not the other way around

Bare minimum. Basically, we ended up 'bout $500 apart. Pretty much same re: the Wilson.
