where to buy springs?

I have heard of ISMI on here and am sold with their warranty but they dont have firing pin springs for 1911. Is there another brand that is good? When should i need to replace a firing pin spring? I have a TRP 1911 with about 3k rnds in it. Nothing wrong I am just gathering ideas now.
thanx all

Really, get with brownells, they have springs and all sorts of what nots, at 3grand rounds your probably still okay, I just posted somewhere about springs, don't overdo it, it's real easy to have a big collection of springs and it's hard to tell which one is new and which one is used, On a 1911 the main thing to look at is the recoil spring, the rest is probably overkill, but check out brownells anyway, thay have got parts and some parts and when your done looking, they have parts

Yeah I have looked there. There is a wolf firing pin spring that says:
1911 AUTO FIRING PIN SAFETY BLOCK SPRING - Replaces weak or broken firing pin safety springs in all Series 80 and 90 pistols with a firing pin safety block. Fits Colt 1911, 1911A1, 1991, Government, MKIV, Gold Cup, Commander and Officers models.

Is this the one that I would need? What is the safety block?
I have a TRP, is the block the piece that holds the firing pin in the gun and also the part the hammer slides on during rear slide movement?

When brownells refers to govt, colt, officer, i am not sure what place my TRP falls into.

Gee, I didn't know there is a Series 90 pistol!! Shall I go back and add this to the Home Page? The question is, I am not sure what the Series 90 is.

And no, I do not think this is what they are talking about, that is the firing pin stop. I assume what they mean is that it fits Series 80 (with the firing pin safety) and pre-Series 80 pistols. Go figure.

And your TRP is obviously a Government model, but for this particular case (the firing pin spring), Gov., Commander or Officer's all use the same spring.

So then this spring will work right? It is just confusing how they word it. What the heck is safety block.
So John you suggest an ISMI recoli spring and then say a wolf firing pine spring? Why doenst ISMI make them both this would be alot easier. I am considering just using all wolf as to combine the shipping.

Thanx John

Now I may be mistaken, I've been wrong in the past, I think I've seen a 90 series pistol and I'm pretty sure that it was really the 80 series called a 90 because the guy giving out numbers didn't know when to stop.

The only difference between the 70 series and 80 series spring kits is that in the 80 series there is a little coil spring for the plunger that goes in the slide, the 70 series springs work just fine in the 80 series, Wow now I'm confused

The Series 90 is a double action pistol designated as the "Double Eagle". Not many out there.

Prezz, wasn't there an officers model 1911 that was a 90 series too. I'm almost certain that there was one other than the Double Eagle. But my mind has slipped here and there maybe it was all in my mind.

Give the 'ole brain some credit because you are indeed correct. Except it's a Commander size.

Give the old brain credit for what????????? Just kidding, I really thought there was one, It basically is an 80 series isn't it? They just changed it to 90 because they had the new roll mark die just sitting there or something?
