videcki trigger

I am trying to rebuild my old stock LW commander. And one of the things I want changed is my trigger. Some friends told me that Videcki's are the best. Is this true? If so, where can I order this? If not, what is better and where can I order.

Thanks

Check out www.brownells.com . You can order the Videcki or others. I would also suggest that you purchase Kuhnhausen's book on the 1911 if you plan to change the trigger yourself (it will need fitting).

Videcki is no longer in business..but there are several others out there..

believe some of those that make one like it are

Burns
EGW
Grieder
Nowlin
Wilson

definitely look at the Brownells catalog or website..if its made..they usually have it..

Brownells is selling a copy of the Videcki made by Grieder, part# 377-000-002 Go to that part number and you'll see 4 different models.

Grieder, part# 377-000-002 TRIGGER

Hello,
I am new in the '1911A1 world'. Would someone be so kind to tell me if that Grieder, part# 377-000-002 trigger would fit (with a little help) in an old 1911A1 Remington Rand of 1943 (not a collector piece but lend-and-lease gun from the stocks of the former USSR, never combat used but reblued), please?

Regards,
Herwig, Belgium.

Greetings Mr. Biggles (wasn't that Austin Power's cat?)

Yes it will fit. Rather, it is the correct part but it will probably be a little oversized so you'll need to file the top and bottom of the trigger. That trigger also comes in long length with no holes, long length with 3 holes in it, medium length with no holes and short with no holes. The original trigger on your Remington Rand is probably a short one.

I would highly recommend Jerry Kuhnhausen's book, The Colt .45 Automatic Volume I (Brownells part # 924-200-045) if you want to learn how to work on your 1911 pistol.

Thanks very much for your help guys.

What do you guys think of the trigger by Kings? Is this ok? I am leaning towards the one in black aluminum.

Thanks.

I've installed all the triggers mentioned above and a few others, Usually it's not a huge problem, actually usually it's not even a small problem, and I'm not even close to what would be considered gunsmith material.

Kings triggers are just fine BTW.
