can anyone tell me where I can get bowlling pins? I tried a search with no luck

Bowling Alleys get them recovered and reuse them until the neck breaks. If you ask around they may have a bunch of old ones.

I have a friend that owns a neighborhood bowling alley. He used to give me pins by the hundreds. Once the plastic is torn or worn through the pins are no good.
Since they are made of Maple they burn great so a lot of people get them to burn when ice fishing.
Check out your local bowling alley and ask the manager what they do with the old ones. They may let you have them just for hauling them off.

Don't turn down the boxes, they help with transport and storage.
