WOW! The M1903 Pocket Pistol Recreation, by Cylinder & Slide is a masterpece of functional art. Hawkmoon as usual, wrote an excellant and very interesting review.

Great review, thank you. I think C&S may have a real winner with this if it comes to be a production model. The proto type is beautiful.

When I first saw Michael Bane's SHOT Show video of this pistol, I didn't really care for it, I've changed my mind.
Excellent pictures Hawk and a great article.

C&S has created an absolutely beautiful "replica" in the Pocket Pistol of 2006. Great work with the review Hawkmoon.

I saw the gun at SHOT and thought it was a shop skills tour de force. Interesting if there is enough market to tool up for production and sales.

Somewhere in the Colt-Browning runup to the 1911, probably around 1908, Colt made a "hammerless" .45 prototype. The one fuzzy picture I have looks like a 1905 twin link gun with enclosed hammer. If he used a 5" barrel, full length dustcover, and unfluted slide, he could recreate that one pretty close, visually.

Wow, That is very nice. I like the added slide stop, as well as the new location for the mag release. Very nice work. If they put those into production I'm on the waiting list to buy one.

Excellent article!
Years ago my late uncle allowed me to shoot his original 1903 Pocket Hammerless. I never heard what became of the gun after he died.

I can only imagine the honor (and dread) you felt when Bill allowed you to shoot his creation. I don't know if my intestinal fortitude would have been as strong as yours. Once again, a great article with superb photography.
