This is the proper forum to use for troubleshooting, gunsmithing and refinishing questions.
If you have a problem with your pistol, this is the proper forum to ask for help. Before you do post your question though, you may want to have a look in the Gunsmithing Sticky Threads sub-forum, in here. We have collected several interesting articles in there, which can probably answer a lot of your questions. |

Jim Garthwaite is in Watsontown, PA which is only about 70 miles from Harrisburg, PA. He is one of the finest 1911 pistolsmiths in the country. I have several pistols that he has worked on, you will not be disappointed. His Web site address is http://www.garthwaite.com/.

EGW oughta be about 1.5 hour drive for ya, and George is a great guy to deal.
Plus they have an excellent reputation and resonable prices. |
