Are USN holster markings historically correct?
Pacific Canvas makes some interesting replica holsters for the 1911's in a huge variety of markings and styles. I'm going to get one just for fun and being an old Squid I thought one of the USN marked ones would be fine. However, I don't recall ever seeing holsters so marked from 1973-1989 so were these historically correct at any time and in what color leather? Thanks for the help.

1958 to 1966 they were all black,at least on the surface ships and submarines I was aboard.
