New Agent Laser sights

I recently purchased a Colt New Agent. I like it, points well and has proven accurate at the range (to 15 yards), but I think I would like a laser sight for personal defense purposes. Does anyone know of a laser sight system that works well with this gun?

Thumbs up
Welcome to the Forum!

Crimson Trace "Officers" length grips. The are the very best! You will need to order the longer screws and bushings, with the grips
http://www.crimsontrace.com/

An excellent product, I had the same set on a Sig 229 for 15 yrs! I currently have a set on a Commander. However I am keeping my Agents stock slim grips, as they are more concealable. The only draw back is your grip is going to be wider, more akin to standard grips then the factory slim grips.

Good Luck!
Rich

Yes...But....

Hi. The Crimson Trace LG-404 does fit the Colt New Agent, BUT you need new grip screws. The one's that come on the gun are too short with the ever so much slightly thicker grips.

See: http://forums.crimsontrace.com/inde...msg6167#msg6167

Someone on the forum at CT.com said: "I even tried to unscrew the fittings for the screws to make them reach, but it still wouldn't reach."

My recommendation is to call CT (they're very good on the phone) and tell them (1) Colt New Agent (2) that a post on their online forum said.....(note above) (3) do they have the screws that will fit.

Your efforts will be well worth the challenges. CT on a 1911, whatever size, really is mandatory if you want to shoot as well as the gun.

Best regards, Jack
