I need some reviews on IWB leather for 3"

Looking for some good or bad reviews on a good IWB leather holster to fit a Colt Defender and occasionally a Springfield EMP. I have no experience with leather as I've been carrying in a Desantis nylon holster. I've been looking at the Comptac MTAC and like designs. I'm a jeans and untucked t-shirt/polo type guy so the better the concealment, the better for me. Thanks for any help!

Hi

There was a thread last week that went over this in pretty exhaustive detail. The bottom line seems to be that people like Milt Sparks IWB's a lot. I don't have much direct experience with them in a 3", but that should change later today when UPS gets here.

You don't happen to have a link to that thread do you? I looked back a bit but didn't see anything 3" specific. Seems like a lot of people are looking for the Milt Sparks stuff on the forums I belong to I've never heard anything bad about them, hope you like yours too!

I've been using a Bianchi Professional IWB (leather) with my two Paras, one is a 3" and one a 3 1/2". It is a store-bought holster, not custom fitted to the guns, but it works very well and you can actually get one without waiting for months. Seems to me that because an IWB squeezes the gun between you and your belt, a custom fit is not as important. I just bought a BearClaw Covert Assignment, which is a Kydex tuckable, for my 3" Carry 9. It is custom-fitted and is perhaps a bit less comfortable than soft leather, but it does conceal very well under a tucked-in shirt without a cover shirt or jacket.

wgppp - That is what I'm really interested in hearing. I have a holster ordered from Crossbreed that I am probably not going to like so I'll end up taking advantage of their two week trial and then trade it for another model. I really want something I can pick up off the shelf and not have to wait on at all. The other thing I forgot to mention was I want something that has a body shield on it, or at least a piece of leather that will cover up to the safety. I'll look in to the Bianchi.

pa_guns, how long did you have to wait for them to make it?
