Questions on Colt "Special Combat"

Does anyone have any first hand experience with one of these? Are they worth the price asked for them, in comparison to a gun from one of the better custom gunsmiths, ie Baer, Ed Brown. They seem to be priced in the same range as the custom guns. They sure look nice!

Earl,

Everything that I have seen and read about has been positive on these pistols. I had an opportunity to handle one once and it was a beauty. They are Custom Shop guns and have come in differing finishes, If you can afford on, get it. I really do not think that you will be dissappointed.

You might go to 1911forum.com and type in Special Combat Government in the search of the Colt forum and get more good imformation.
