Break in in Flatwoods KY

My Aunt and Uncle had a break in. His S&W model 10 (4" blue) still in the box, and a Ruger .22 were among the items stolen. I know most of these slime will sell it to a pawn shop or other such buyer, but I am trying everything to get them back to them.

If possible, provide important details like serial #s. While the police are good at the investigating part of it, if a forum member sees a pistol in a pawn shop in Oshkosh, and has a ser.# to compare, it's more likely to find it's way home.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm located about 25 miles east of ya. And yes, S/N's would be of great benefit.

OK... My bad for the long time with no reply.

The serial # for the S&W model 10 (Blue 4") is D2891XX

I don't have any other info on the ruger, but the Smith is more important to us.

I thank all of you for the extra eyes and maybe a small miracle will happen and a stolen gun will be found and returned to its owner.

Be safe and shoot straight

Forgot to add... The Smith is not in the box. We have the original box, but the scum that took it, left the box in the house. Obvious that they have no idea about how to make a gun worth more.
