New Charles Daly in the safe
I picked up this CD the other day for 3 bills, and it came in the origional box, wrapped in the origional plastic bags, gun and mags all in bags, It seems to be in near unused condition, and took it out to the range and put 100 rounds through it or so, The only thing i see as an issue is that it feels as though the slide spring is a bit too week for commercial rounds. I am looking at getting the full set of wilson combat springs so i can fine tune the slide spring,,,,,, Other than that it seems to be a fine shooter which is easier to hit the bulls eye that my springfield,
This CD has the skelitonized trigger and large beaver tail, Is this all normal for a Phillippines made CD? Peter. ![]() |

Pred: Looks like a standard issue Charles D-trigger, hammer, ambi thumb safety and extended slide stop, good finish. My Compact came with a pair of very nice double diamond walnut grips as well.
If it was mine I'd hang on to the old recoil spring in case it works better than with the new one. My Dalys and other Armscor pistols have proven to be very reliable shooters, and I wish you the best of luck wity yours. Mark |

I ordered a set of wilson combat spring set, It has 5 different weight springs, I fugure that it may be wise to get all the sizes and see which one works best, And still have several others to fine tune any full size 1911,
And yes, Mine has been 100% reliable even though I have only sent about 200 rounds through it. Peter. |
