John,

The Welcome Panel say "206 new posts, 101 new threads" but the New Posts button has never shown me more than 96. Just an observation.

I guess you might be right, but I ain't spending any time either counting them or fixing that query, until the twins are somewhere else than around me. And since their grandmother had told me that she can no longer hold them for more than a couple of hours, that will have to wait for some time.

LoL

John, I thought you could do anything. Like hold two children in one arm and type with the other one!

Just kidding.

Hi John

I hope you are having fun with the twins, and a nice Easter. When you do get around to looking, I an having the same or similar problem. When checking for posts since last visit, I only get hits about 50% of the time. Now I never sign off when I leave. Could that have something to do with it?

The posts since last XX hours always seems to work OK.

Best Regards

Bill Lambert

You get the answer yourself. If you do not log out, or if you do not close your browser window, the time of your "last visit" gets updated. It also gets updated while you are browsing. So if you stay in the forums like 2 hours, a thread that was created 5 minutes after you started browsing, will not be shown at your next "Show posts since last visit" because the time of your last visit, maybe 5 minutes before the end of the two hours. Does that make sense? I hope so.

I remember those days. Now it occurs with my grandsons. Kids can be a handful especially when you want to try and get in some computer time. Enjoy them while they are little because they grow up fast.
