Cool Hunter, really great read. You did another fine job. Thank you for the mention although it wasn't necessary. I still haven't gotten around to shooting mine.

Thanks Justin. The ammunition you sent me really helped and I do appreciate it.
Hawkmoon really was the one who cleaned it up. What is the saying behind every "writer" stands a good editor.

Thanks for the review.

I'm developing a somewhat perverse love affair with mine the more I carry it.

Quality.

Well done review!

Pistol looks good and works, which is most important for those little "bangers".

I'd still want sights on any pistol that size, but I'd bet they sell a lot of these anyway.

Well auto45 a lot of folks say they would like to have sights on the New Agent but I think that would defeat the purpose of the pistol. If you would ever need to call on this little Colt chances are you won't be using sights anyway. Taking the time to acquire sight picture and sight alignment may not be possible.
With practice the sight trench works pretty good. It took me a few range trips to get good groups but once I got the hang of it the shot placment was consistant.

Stainless slide?

Hunter, thanks for the time and care that went into this review. I feel that I have been well-informed about this pistol. And the trench sight does not scare me off one bit -- that's more sight than I have been using on my KelTec!

One question: you mentioned in your note to me that there is a stainless slide version available, yes? But as I recall the frame on that one was ... alloy? Polymer?

This is looking as if it may well be my next carry pistol.

Tom

Thanks Tom. The Defender (very similar to the New Agent but with traditional sights) has a stainless steel slide but is also an alloy frame.
I would say the pistol is well worth looking at as a carry option. It may replace my mom's SP 101 in the near future for her carry pistol.

I agree with you on that.

I was thinking more of "range" shooting. A gun like that, for me anyway, I'd have to shoot...too tempting.

Well Hunter may not be the fastest writer here, but his articles are always worth the wait. Another good review of a great gun.

Finally! Somebody (figures it would be Colt) has come up with a micro compact 1911 that runs!
