Question
Stallone "COBRA" grips

I have a brother who is close to finishing his college education as a film editor.
He is a big fan of Sylvester Stallone movies. After he gets out of college he wants to start his own gun collection.
He's looking for a set of ivory pollimar grips with a COBRA HEAD scrimshawed on them like the grips Stallone had in the movie COBRA.
I am an active gun collector and shooter and have several 1911 models.
Several of my handguns sport grips other than the factory grips they came with.
I've searched the web for several weeks and have not been able to find a set of cobra head grips for a 1911.
I think these were custom made for the movie, but wouldn't somebody try to capitalize on this design and make it availible somewhere?
Anybody got any ideas where I might find a set for him?

Jack

Greetings,
Try Altamont, they may design it for you. Faux ivory.

Nutmeg Sports, they may also design it for you, or they may offer it (not on their website). Real ivory.

Here is another alternative.

If I remember right, there was such a set in a printed catalog I got from Syd some years ago.
