Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.
Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued. IMPORTANT: In Photo-threads, each post should contain at least one picture of your own. Quoting a previous post, does not make your post compliant with that requirement. Dry fireing?
Newbie to the forum here. Just want to say that this site is a gold mine of information. I have spent days on here going over every question I could think of, and have found answers to almost everything.
I just picked up a PT 1911 a couple of weeks ago. Love it. I am trying to improve my shooting skills, and have read some posts concerning dry firing as one of the ways to help. I am just wondering if this will have any negative consequneces on the pistol itself, and if I should maybe invest in some dummy rounds?? |

Taurus manual says you should not dry fire. However I would think as long as you have some snap caps your should be fine.
