Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.
Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued. IMPORTANT: In Photo-threads, each post should contain at least one picture of your own. Quoting a previous post, does not make your post compliant with that requirement. Yet another satisfied RIA owner+1
Over the past 3 months, I've bought a standard 1911A1 and last month bought a Compact or Commander whatever it's called...and then the weekend at the local gunshow, a dealer friend had another Compact that was used. He priced it to me for $280.00 OTD. Called my son-in-law and yes, he wanted it. We went up to the farm for a shooting session to see what they liked to eat....all three ran really well with no FTF's out of the bunch. I shot 50 rounds ball ammo and 25 rounds of hollow points to see if they had any trouble feeding them....nope...no problems. Needless to say, I was tickled because his gun was a used one that was traded in for a Springfield. My dealer friend didn't know the gun, but knew the police officer that traded it...and there was nothing wrong with the gun, but, you never know. Anyway, 3 RIA's are nice additions to the family...and out shot my Glock 27, too.

' glad to hear 'bout you experience.
RIA's are like Makarov's of 1911's, but with great customer support. I'm glad they came in the 1911 scene. To put it bluntly....they are cheap but reliable! |
