Extended mag realease!

Hi!

I just got myself a Colt 1911 and i bought it with all the good stuff i wanted, but i miss a extended magrealease button. Ive been looking at a Ed Brown button that i just drill a hole in the exsisting magrealease and bolt on. Unfortunetly they are hard to come by in Sweden were i live and Ed Brown dont seem to sell overseas? Any one know of a manufacture that will ship overseas or are they prohbited by law?

Contact Mike, at Mike's Sport Shop, the link is in the Sponsor's panel. He is a Brown dealer, and I am sure he can send it to you. The only things that Americans cannot export, are slides and frames. The rest, they an ship to you. The problem is at your end, if you can get them through the customs, but for something that small, I am sure it won't be an issue.

If you allow me, I would suggest the standard extended Brown button. It's a little longer than the standard one, but I prefer that to the ones with the screw-on larger buttons. Personal opinions!

mag release

Got to agree with John, any of the ones that are .060 or 1.5mm longer than the standard but the same diameter really make a difference, several companies make them. You might try Midway USA but I don't know of ther export policies but contact them at http://www.midwayusa.com/

My Kimber 1911 mag release recently broke and I replaced it with a "Wilson #31S Stainless Steel Extended Mag Release and Catch Screw for 1911s". Functionally, it works very well but I felt it stuck out too far for my taste so I replaced it with an original Kimber release button.

If you run into a problem ordering the part, let me know and I will send you mine for what I paid for it.
