Not sure about posting here, but need Randall price worth quote

Hello, friends.

I must admit I'm mostly a revolver man, but have a few bottom feeders such as...

Have Randall model A 111 five inch barrel 1911 type pistol in stainless steel. It is .45 acp with fixed sights. Has original box with Randall instruction cards and brochures.

I am condsidering selling this item and would be greatful for estimated value of such a boxed set.

Willing to trade for S&W .44 special blued if it meets value...otherwise some boot may be in order.

Can furnish pictures for email.

Thanks, 44and45

Well, you can always donate it to me.

Gee, I forgot, you can't, I am only allowed to have two pistols. Also, if you do, then you will have to change your Forum name, to "44only" and we will all get mixed up.

LoL

Sorry I can't help, all I can do today is being happy, with the new Forum.

Just because I look like Santa Clause, don't mean I'm Santa...so, no freebies, need the money for more firearms appropriations. Lol

Even if I sold my Randall, I've still got two more .45 acp's and a Colt 45...so, I'm still 44and45. Chuckle chuckle...

Congrats on your great forum, hope you don't have any strong arm mods in the wings to sap an old geezer like myself.

Well Jim, for the time being the only mods I am doing is in this bloody vb software which runs this forum, and my old Jeep Cherokee, trying to keep it alive and ticking.

Sorry, I didn't notice the topic of your post. Here are the prices from the Blue Book.

The following is a complete listing for Randall Firearms variations including production statistics. Values shown represent recent aftermarket prices, but it should be noted regional interest can change these prices significantly. All original Randall pistols had no blue parts. Only the front and rear sights were finished in black oxide.

100% Randall prices assume NIB condition with paperwork.
Add 50% for prototypes with "T" serial numbers.

COMBAT MODEL
- same size as Service Model, ribbed top fixed sight slide, Pachmayr grips on right hand model only, left-hand models had Herrett walnut grips. While this model was advertised as having a flat mainspring housing, it never went into production. Last MSR was $549.

RAIDER/SERVICE MODEL-C
- 9mm Para. or .45 ACP cal., Colt Commander Model design, 4 1/4 in. barrel, 36 oz., total stainless steel construction. Add $130 for adj. sights/ ribbed slide, available in either right-hand or left-hand (only 2 mfg.) model. Roll-marked Service Model-C in 1983 and Raider in 1984. Last MSR was $460.

FULL SIZE SERVICE MODEL
- .38 Super, 9mm Para., or .45 ACP cal., Colt Model 1911 A1 design, 5 in. barrel, total stainless steel construction, 38 oz. Available in either right-hand or left-hand model. Last MSR was $460.

CURTIS E. LEMAY 4-STAR MODEL
- 9mm Para. or .45 ACP cal., Gen. Curtis E. LeMay design, 4 1/4 in. barrel, 6 (.45 ACP) or 7 (9mm Para.) shot mag., total stainless steel construction, 35 oz. Available in either right-hand or left-hand model, left-hand models are a true mirror image with over 17 major parts changes. Last MSR was $533. This model was 1/2 in. shorter in magazine well and had a cast, squared off triggerguard compared to the Colt 1911A1 design.

RANDALL MATCHED SETS
- .45 ACP cal. only, each set consisted of a right-hand and a left-hand Service Model with matching serial numbers. Only 4 sets were mfg. on a special order basis. A111/B111 model configuration. Last MSR was $1,250.

I just got the CD, so I thought I'll put it to good use for our members.
