Hey novak1911freak,
I dont own it, but I bought a BT for my brother (LE officer). It is great! Has a very solid feel and has kept an edge for the last year and a half (and he has used it as a "tool" more than once). He carries it daily on call outs and on his duty belt, and has not complained once of the weight (it is pretty stout), but he is a blade guy...

Hope this helps. You will not regret it if you do decide to make the purchase.

Best, ~BoS

I've got 3 Striders but none of the models you mentioned, mine are all folders. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed in anything they get from Strider.

I have been looking at getting one of those models for a while and I just wanted to know because it is alot of money for a Strider, where I can get a Kabar for quite less.....

I'm a folder guy myself and don't know much about Kabars but they seem to be well thought of. My Striders are extremely tough and I think I could carve my way out of a car wreck with either my AR or SMF, even the little PT would do it if I could get a good enough grip on the little bugger. Striders are my choice but Kabars are probably good too. They just don't make a knife I want....

Normally I like folders myself, I would love a Strider folder, but I am contemplating a career move into the military..... plus I love buying gear along with guns and I have not had a new knife in a while and if I am going to go into the military I want to get a fixed blade knife.....

I bought a KaBar when I sent out a package to the adoptasniper program, and even though you can get one for under a hundred bucks, I would much rather (if my life depended on it) spend the $350, or whatever it is to get the strider. The BT I bought for my brother is MUCH more sturdy, and more nicely finished than the KaBar, and the KaBar was a great knife.

Just my $0.02
