The Rock Island Armory pistols is one of the best pistol you can buy for that price. Do a search and you will find good reviews from owners.

I confess to being confused.
The only CZ97 pistol I am aware of is made in Czeckoslovakia and marketed by CZ USA, not made in the Phillipines and sold by Rock Island Armory, and it is not a 1911-style pistol. What are we actually discussing here? If you're interested in the Rock Island pistols, there is a subforum dedicated to the Charles Daley/Armscor/RIA pistols (which are all made in the same factory). If you are interested in a CZ, this site may not be the best place to get an answer.
