Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.

  • If your pistol malfunctions and you want to ask for help on how to troubleshoot it, post your question in the "Gunsmithing and Refinishing" forum, not in this one.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market parts, these questions should go in the "Parts - Grips" forum, not in the manufacturers forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market magazines, these questions should go in the "Magazines" forum, not in these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about holsters, those questions should go in the "Holsters" forum, not in these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about conversion kits, those questions should go in the "Conversion Kits" forum, not these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about which ammo to use with your pistol, those questions should be posted in the "Ammo" forum, not these forums.

Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued.

IMPORTANT: In Photo-threads, each post should contain at least one picture of your own. Quoting a previous post, does not make your post compliant with that requirement. Photo threads are NOT for chatting.

SiGARMS GSR Revolution STX arrives early...

I just got my SiG GSR Revolution STX arrived today...I am at work and just got a quick peek but I noticed that some things are different than I had seen in the catalog or others on Forums.

*SiGARMS GSR Revolution STX
*Nitron Slide with flat top and grooves (like the Colt Gold Cup IIRC)
*Dot over flat bar adjustable night sites...
*Solid Trigger
*No "Manhole Cover"
*No "SiGARMS" Custom Shop logo in contrasting stainless on slide
*Burled grip plates that seem a bit fat and one has either an imperfection or *crack...I'll notify SiGARMS about this...
*Hump in the middle of the grip safety...I had never seen one like this before only seeing the "memory groove" type or standard grip safety...it seems kind of loose too...but this may be normal...my custom 1911 has a heavier spring in the grip safety...
*Mags are NOT marked Novak's or ACT Mag and have base pads that appear to be like those on Wilson's...split follower made of blue steel...mags are stainless bodied...
*Scalloped and contrasting polished stainless on the grasping grooves of the rear of the slide.
*nope, will not fit my form fitting (Safariland) holster but may fit a softer or stretchable holster...
*Pics later if I can...this is a nice looking pistol...mine has a neat serial number that echoes my number when I played football and baseball as a kid...just a nice tie in for me...

I changed out the stock "burled maple" grips since their pretty but not so functional for me and my left side grip plate had a crack from apparent overtightening of the grip screw...a call to SiGARMS should fix that...operating the slide is some slick stuff...more when I know it.

I spoke with Ray in Customer Service today and they are sending me out a new pair of burled maple signiture grips and told me they do not put the "pro shop" logo on the pistols any more...hey, my box also had "compac" written on it but there was no explanation for that...curious...I would say my customer service treatment was top notch so far.
