Whose sights are they? The maker can replace the vials. You cannot purchase the vials direct.

Kruzr, they are on a 1990 S&W commercial version of the FBI 1076. These are the same sights as on the FBI guns, which are different than the normal ones S&W used. The sights do not say who made them. Got it out of the safe and noticed a distinct lack of glow! I would have sworn they were bright a couple of months ago.

Trijicon makes night sights for the 1076. I've never seen a 1076 except in pictures and it appears to have a Novak rear cut. I'd measure it to see if it's a Novak cut.

You can sometimes find them on Ebay, I did, used them on missing night sights on my M92 AK47.
They were about $25.00 each...............worth it for me on that gun.

Tony, check with Tooltech Gunsight. They are the folks that do the warranty repairs and installs of tritium vials on plain steel sights for Trijicon. They should be able to hook you right up. Here's their contact info from Trijicon's website:

That would be about right. Tritium has a half life of 12.5 years. They would gradually start going darker about 2002 on a 1990 model, and then drop off noticeably in spurts after that.

Hi
Did the sights come on the pistol from S&W? If so I'd bet they will swap them out for you. Bob |

They are the original sights - same as on the FBI guns - I will have to check with S&W. Trijicon said they would replace them but I didn't get a price -yet. At least only the slide will have to be sent in. Just found out that Trijicon has an 88 acre secure training facility in my town - it is kept very quiet!
