Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.

  • If your pistol malfunctions and you want to ask for help on how to troubleshoot it, post your question in the "Gunsmithing and Refinishing" forum, not in this one.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market parts, these questions should go in the "Parts - Grips" forum, not in the manufacturers forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about after-market magazines, these questions should go in the "Magazines" forum, not in these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about holsters, those questions should go in the "Holsters" forum, not in these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about conversion kits, those questions should go in the "Conversion Kits" forum, not these forums.
  • If you want to ask questions about which ammo to use with your pistol, those questions should be posted in the "Ammo" forum, not these forums.

Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued.

Pic of XSE Commander Recoil Plug?

I have an XSE Lt WT Commander that has an FLGR, apparently not a common thing, Anyone else have one like mine? If you have a pic of the front of your XSE please post it. I think mine looks strange with a hollow recoil plug. I think I would like to change it out for a standard set up. I wanted to see what you all have. Thanks, here's mine:

Ditto

My new XSE Combat Commander has the FLGR, same as yours. I added the Wilson drop in BT, S&A MSH/MG and Navidrex grips.

That is the standard (i.e. original) setup for Colt's XSE models. Anything different and the owner made changes.

Not so. Perhaps the different caliber makes a difference, but my 2006 Lwt commander in 38 came with the standard recoil set-up.

With respect, whitey019, I'm going to have to disagree with you. Here's a picture of the muzzle of my LW XSE Commander.

The only thing that has been changed on this pistol are the grips.

My XSE LW Commander in .45 also had a FLGR in it when I bought it. Today I noted there was another at a gun store with FLGR and a .38 super with a regular plug. Since they are so easy to change I never was worried about what was there. Perhaps Colt ran out of one and used the other.

Nicely covered to keep it warm, and only the nose out, so it can breath at night. The first Commander I see, with ... its own blanket!

You are taking good care of your babies Steve !

I have got to get some wooden frames to support my pistols for pictures! I mean, I just have to!
