I've seen people posting about using Colt Slides on their RIA frames, so i don't see why the .22 conversion slides would't work

Rock Island 1911 with ceiner 22 conversion unit
I have had one now for a year. Had to shoot it awhile to "break" it in.
22 slide was very tight to begin with. Slide stop was to tight so I got a spare and turned it down to fit. Great fun. Wish I had a 25 rnd mag for it!!!! ![]() |

Rock Island
Rock Island makes a conversion for their Gov't model.
S.O.G. has some for $159.95, but the flyer does not show a manufacturer.

S.o.g.
Southern Ohio Gun (S.O.G.) does not show it on their website, but in the flyer that came with my last little goodie it has a pic and description of it. The stock number is SOG191122C and it is the full slide unit with a 10 round mag for $159.95
S.O.G. only sells to or through FFL holders, so you need to get yours to call them and say it is OK to sell the unit to you. Then you can deal direct with them, PLASTIC OK but with a 3% upcharge.

Don't have access to SOG as I am not FFL. But from your posts I believe they are EAA units. CDNN had them for a while. Bought the conversion and 6 mags($19). Pass on the unit, (CDNN refunded my $139) , would not operate on any of of my 1911s. However I bought a ceiner conversion and the EAA (plastic mags) work fine after a 15 minute fix! $19 for the EEA plastic beats $39 for the ceiner although cieners are now 15 rndrs. ![]() |
