surefire with no mount?

what surefire light will attactch to a1911 with out a light mount rail besides the classic. I just ordered one and they have to back order it. Is this not a commn set up? i cant imagine everyone is working off of a light rail mount now. it is also hard to find a tac holster that will even take a 1911 with the classic seris light. what is going on? this set up seems as if it would be common as hell.

No answer here

Sorry, I don't have your answer, but I will say that I love the quality of my SureFire. I do have rails though so I own the x200. Have you tried other internet sites? There is usually someone that has any item out there. The SureFire is worth the wait. One trick is to call SureFire and ask if they have shipped any to anyone or who were they last shipped to (retailers of course).

Hello,
Consider the model 610R.

SureFire products have been backordered for months now, it took me nearly 6 months to get ONE X200. SureFire has military and federal contracts to fulfill, which is putting them under severe strain. Your best bet is to find an internet shop with the model you want IN STOCK (call for availability, regardless of what website says), or search gun shops/shows in your area.

I cancelled 4 orders in total before I got my X200 on my doorstep. I suggest you do the same, as it will be months (atleast) before SureFire can muster enough to even put a small crimp in the civilian market.

Good luck.

Hey, I was at the Sportsmans Warehouse in Aurora, CO this weekend and they have a SureFire x200 sitting in there case with a nice selection of SureFire flashlights. I'm sure they would mail it out.

Craig
