Please note that the forums in this category are to be used to ask questions or to show us pistols from these manufacturers. They can also be used to ask questions about the parts of a particular pistol from one of these manufacturers, as long as the question relates to the original parts.
Messages with questions for after-market parts, magazines, holsters, conversion kits, ammo etc. will be moved to the proper forum and a warning will be issued. IMPORTANT: In Photo-threads, each post should contain at least one picture of your own. Quoting a previous post, does not make your post compliant with that requirement. Photo threads are NOT for chatting. |

The Springfield is probably more likely to work, right out of the box. If you're going to strip it bare and build out, I'd say whichever one is cheaper. Some info here-

Nothing really wrong with the Kahr Auto-Ordance. Never had any problems with mine. I have a Springfield Loaded also. If I were to do it again I would have bought a Springfield Mil-spec instead of the Auto-Ordance.

thanks
I'd like to thank everyone who replied to my post. I found a store here in Minnesota, http://www.hart-bros.com/ , that had a Springfield GI in stock (an amazingly hard thing to do, actually), and bought it. IT was $460, which seems like an okay price around here. I haven't had a chance to go try it out yet, but as soon as it warms up, I'll go to the range and break it it a bit.
Thanks again, Jon |
